Yes. As Umircore is a globally recognised refiner, its gold bars are minted to 99.99% fineness, qualifying them as invest-grade gold and therefore exempt from Value Added Tax in the UK.
Most Umicore bars trade at a price point similar to Metalor, often carrying a lower premium (the cost above the gold spot price) than decorated gold bars, like PAMP’s Lady Fortuna. That’s why so many investors who prioritise ethical sourcing and reputation over artistic design choose Umicore for its excellent value for money.
We stock a variety of common weights and sizes preferred by investors, such as 1g, 5g and even the popular 1oz gold bar. You can also browse some of our larger sizes, including 1kg and the ever-popular 12.5kg bars.
All small bars are sealed with tamper-evident packaging with an accompanying assay certificate, which documents the bar’s unique serial number, weight, and 24-carat purity. The bar itself is also stamped with this information.
